A friend sent me an email about the great plan from IBM to ship laid off workers in the USA to other countries. But the thing was, they were going to be paid the local wage for the country and job. Can you see an engineer who was making 120k a year moving to some Asian country and making let’s say 3 dollars a day? Who came up with this idea and why are they not thinking of the home team?
American companies need to remove the outsourcing of jobs and jobs idea’s like this to bring them back to the USA. It would be better if they fired 15 of these people in another country to hire one remote worker for the USA for that country. I know turnabout is fair play so maybe this will be the new idea. Bring back American jobs, fire workers in other countries Asia, Malaysia and the Philippines. For every 10 to 15 you fire over in those countries you can hire one good American worker back, to either do work here in the USA or be remote to other countries.
American companies need to outsource our people to other countries, what would happen if every American company fired every worker in India? All of the call center business would come to America, and then they would have to outsource all of their jobs to America. It would help our economy and get us back to where we need to be. So let’s go back to the IBM plan, what a joke. Sorry IBM but I like my plan much better.
My friend who sent me the email asked me a question also, “What would happen if companies rather than looking at your solution to bring jobs back to the USA just added more jobs in those countries? Would consumers stop buying the products to protest”? Good question so below is what we are going to do.
I think it would be good to hear from the Subnet Readers on what they think. We are also looking for these questions to be answered for each company you blog about.
- 1. Stats if you have them on any company who outsources jobs to other countries, how many people do they have in these countries?
- 2. What kind of jobs are they?
- 3. Could these jobs be brought back to the USA?
- 4. What is the pay difference?
- 5. Does this company have a Executive Team already put together to look at the re-sourcing of jobs to the USA from other countries?
- 6. Would your company be less willing to purchase from companies who do not try to bring jobs back to the USA from other outsourced countries?
In the end we will take all info we get and put it into one report showing how many jobs from companies we hear about outsource jobs. What do they outsource, can it be brought back to the USA, is that company willing to do that or not and why?
I called three catalog companies this coming to find a new and large hard drive for my laptop, I got three people from out of the country when I called. I hung up on each one of them when they told me they were not in the USA. I went on the web, found a SMB company in Chicago, paid a little more but kept my business in the USA. Maybe more people need to do this as well.
This will be very interesting to hear from our readers and see what companies want to bring jobs back and which one just don’t care about American Jobs. Please post we would love to hear from everyone.
