New community for embedded Linux developers

A new Website promises to be a focal point for embedded Linux development — for putting Linux into anything and everything that’s not a server or a PC. “Meld” is sponsored by MontaVista Software, a vendor that offers a Linux stack for embedded applications. But company officials stress that it’s intended for anyone working in the embedded space, not just for MontaVista customers. Initially, Meld will focus on the familiar discussion group format, and branch out with other tools, like wikis, to organize and share information, resources, and code. Full story is online.
