On that note, reports are bubbling up that Apple still has a camera enabled iPod Touch in it sights, with some even speculating that Apple is working hard to get such a device to market in time for the holiday shopping season. Given the recent release of the Zune HD, which has been getting favorable reviews thus far, you can bet that Apple doesn’t want to wait too long before it upgrades the device. Of course, Apple doesn’t want to issue an updated iPod Touch too soon as everyone who just bought the current model will be up in arms, much in the way people complained when Apple lowered the price on the original iPhone shortly after its initial release. Notably, Apple, on its website, doesn’t refer to the latest iPod Touch models as being the 3rd generation, a title presumably being saved for one that can record video.
