In today’s newsletter I’d like to tell you about a fantastic resource at NetworkWorld.com, a relatively new blog on the site called Cisco Knowledge Share.
Written by Avner Izhar, the blog gets into the nitty-gritty of tips and tricks for working with Cisco networking equipment.
The blog is one of many in the Cisco Subnet section of our site. Izhar’s blog is a nice complement to other Cisco Subnet blogs I have highlighted in the past, such as Michael Morris’ From the Field blog (Morris recently passed the Cisco Certified Design Expert exam and has been hooting and hollering about it in his blog – and rightfully so), and Brad Reese’s blog, which stays on top of Cisco-related news.
Izhar’s bio lists his achievements:
“Avner Izhar is an experienced IT professional; he has 14 years of experience in the networking area, on multiple continents, and has filled positions in post sales, pre sales and training. He currently holds CCIE in Voice (#15999), CCSI (#31623), CCVP and others. He is also the author of two CCIE voice training related books: CCIE Voice Technology Workbook and CCIE Voice written study guide, both published under NLI. When he is not blogging for Network World, he work as a Consulting System Engineer for World Wide Technology, Inc., a leading systems integrator providing technology and supply chain solutions to customers and suppliers around the world.”
Recently, he has blogged about network assessment tools and how they are able to determine if your network is healthy, and then used an open-source command-line tool to demonstrate how to get the macro level using SNMP.
He also did a series on creating a proactive call center, in three parts (part 1; part 2; part 3).
