The Kenyan office of Inmobia, a Danish mobile technology company, is on the lookout for Sierra Leonean musicians willing to grant the company nonexclusive sublicenses for their work in exchange for marketing and distribution.
Inmobia is engaged in providing content and application services to wireless telecommunication customers, such as Celtel.
According to a copy of the licensing agreement given to musicians, the artists’ work would be distributed as ringtones (mono and polyphonic), truetones, videos and images. Revenue would be shared by Inmobia and the artist, with the artist receiving 10 percent of revenue for ringtones and 15 percent for truetones, videos and images.
