Risk mitigation and business solutions provider First Advantage Thursday announced its merger with Malaysia-based Verify, a premier employment screening company.
The merger enhances First Advantage’s reach in Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Taiwan and Thailand, a company representative said.
First Advantage operates in Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore and South Korea. Verify has offices in China, Hong Kong, India and Japan.
“With combined operations in the 14 markets, First Advantage will now have a comprehensive footprint that enables it to extend services to the entire Asia Pacific,” the company representative added.
A majority-owned subsidiary of the First American Corporation–America’s largest provider of business information–First Advantage serves leading financial, IT and IT-enabled service companies operating in Asia Pacific. Its Asia Pacific HQ is in Singapore.
Kuala Lumpur-based Verify is the second largest background screening firm in Asia, following top-ranked First Advantage.
