Description: The question for Nokia is: Why would somebody buy a $600 consumer-oriented smart phone when you can get an iPhone for $399. Yes, the Nokia N95 has a 5-megapixel camera, a GPS receiver, built-in Wi-Fi and plenty of multimedia features that allow you to record and play music and video on the device and to transfer music and video to other devices.
But if you’ve got $400 to spend on a phone/music player/Web browser/e-mail device, the iPhone is light years more cool. The N95 has some interesting features, like a two-way slider – slide the display screen up and number pad appears, slide it down and there are some buttons that control media playback. But it has some drawbacks as well, such as the fact that it’s not being sold directly by any of the major cell phone companies.
