BladeLogic this week announced an add-on to its data center automation software that the company says lets IT managers monitor virtual platforms alongside their physical machines.

From Microsoft Subnet: Microsoft flips the switch on $550M data center

Reuters is reporting that Microsoft is about to flip the switch to its new $550 million server farm in Quincy, Wash., big enough to house seven soccer fields and the backbone to its fight against Google and others in the Web services space.
