Other features include Mobile Web 2.0 support, text and multimedia messaging support, Web-based e-mail and instant messaging, voice memo recording, and speaker-independent voice recognition. The phone is capable of using the VZ Navigator turn-by-turn directions application, and offers up to 220 minutes of battery life, or up to 398 minutes of standby time.

IBM moves into Second Life virtual world

Check out this Reuters report on Yahoo’s news site, which says IBM Chairman and CEO Sam Palmisano will be visiting the Second Life 3D virtual world next Tuesday, to conduct a “town hall” meeting with 7,000 Chinese employees and with more than 250 IBM employees on one of the company’s “virtual islands.”

This ain’t just a game any more. If you got into the Web game late, better start thinking now about a Second Life strategy.
