We conducted a Clear Choice Test of Network Composer for three weeks in our production network between a set of remote offices and their upstream Internet connection.
We installed Network Composer and tested it for three weeks in our production network between a set of remote offices and their upstream Internet connection. Because there is no “report but do not interfere” mode, we jumped right in and had it blocking traffic and modifying bandwidth use from the start.
We ran some specific tests, verifying the behavior of different aspects of the system, such as bandwidth management, virus blocking, spyware blocking and content filtering. In addition, we collected feedback from the users being protected and managed by Network Composer during the test period.
We also worked with Cymphonix technical support via e-mail and telephone to identify installation quirks and report some of the bugs we found.
