Citrix buys into WAN optimization
Citrix is expected to add WAN optimization to its products with the planned purchase of Orbital Data for $50 million. The acquisition will give Citrix the ability to tinker with how data is sent over WAN connections so it is transferred more efficiently, giving users the feel that the link is faster. ‘Wikimaniacs’ debate getting corporate acceptance of wikis
It’s a wiki, wiki world, whether you know it yet, or not. Such was the vibe at Wikimania 2006, the second-annual conference on all things Wikipedia – the online, free (and sometimes controversial) encyclopedia. The event drew an estimated 400-plus attendee from 50 countries to Harvard Law School, where the conference ran from Friday to Sunday. Click here for more.
