Fiorina pops up on security company’s board
Carly Fiorina has kept a low profile since being dismissed as president and CEO of HP last February, but apparently she has no intention of abandoning the technology industry altogether. On Thursday, Herndon, Va., security vendor Cybertrust announced that Fiorina has been appointed to the company’s board of directors.

DOJ sets conditions for Verizon, SBC acquisitions
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has approved two major telecommunications mergers, with Verizon buying MCI and SBC buying AT&T , but will require the two merged telecom giants to divest some fiber-optic network facilities, the DOJ said Thursday.
