* New Data Center Awards: Network World is teaming up with AFCOM, the leading association for data center professionals, to recognize people and facilities that embody success in the data center. Categories include Data Center Manager of the Year, Data Center of the Year, and Secure Data Center.

Winners will receive coverage in AFCOM’s DCM and Network World, a complimentary flight to Las Vegas for the awards ceremony, and one free night at the Rio Hotel and Casino.

* Renovator Award: Presented by Network World and sponsored by Juniper Networks, the Renovator Award honors enterprise companies that overhauled their network and realized a substantial ROI, discovered a significant new business opportunity or found a creative way to leverage technology.

Winners will be honored at a celebration in Las Vegas during the NetWorld+Interop conference from May 3 to 5 and will be profiled in a subsequent Network World article.

* NPA Awards for Professionalism: The Network Professional Association (NPA) annually honors individuals for their outstanding achievements within the network computing industry. Categories include the Best networking Professional – Career Achievement Award and the Professional Excellent and Innovation Award, with five sub-categories: Corporate Fortune X, Corporate Small Business, Education, Government and Independent Network Contractor.
