IBM looks to reassure channel over Lenovo
When a pillar of the PC industry changes hands, you know there will be confusion and uncertainty. IBM’s sale of its PC division to Lenovo Group is making some people nervous and making some competitors rush in to comfort them. At IBM’s PartnerWorld conference, Big Blue gave reassurances, and its partners responded.

ViryaNet wins funding but continues to report net losses
ViryaNet, which offers software for managing mobile workers, has picked up $1.3 million in new equity funding from Telvent Investments, a current shareholder. But ViryaNet has lowered its yearly revenue projections and has delayed issuing its year-end financial results for a month, until the end of March.

Verizon lets MCI talk over Qwest bid
