Verizon is at the altar and ready to wed MCI. But Qwest is coming in at the last minute with a proposal of its own. Some say Qwest’s offer is superior. Others say Verizon’s is better, in the long term. And then there’s the matter of the $200 million that someone would have to pay Verizon.

Intel: Speed no longer enough
Intel, which faced design problems and product delays, and was forced to play catch-up with rival AMD in 2004, used its Spring Developer Forum to showcase new technologies that it says will simplify the lives of IT managers by making it easier to manage and secure increasingly complex networks.
