* WebAssist's WA Google Search, WA eBay StoreBuilder
Today I have two interesting products for Web applications built using Macromedia Dreamweaver. Both products are from WebAssist.com (see editorial links below).
The first product is called WA Google Search for Dreamweaver. This is a free Dreamweaver add-on that adds a Google Search form to your Web pages using a three-step wizard. Once created, you can view the Google form in Dreamweaver’s Design View and use the Property Inspector to edit its properties.
Take a look at the sample forms. You can generate forms to search your site and or the entire Web (optionally using Google’s “SafeSearch” mode, which omits Web pages containing adult themes and explicit content).
Among the other interesting Dreamweaver add-on products from WebAssist is WA eBay StoreBuilder. This tool, which also works with Macromedia’s Contribute 3, operates in conjunction with eBay’s stores. It allows you to select and customize any of more than 800 professionally designed layouts. You can convert existing eBay listings into a templated storefront and manage attributes and content.
WA eBay StoreBuilder also has full internationalization so you can manage eBay content in multiple countries. There are tools for merchandising and cross-promotions, comprehensive traffic reporting, and integration with PayPal for payment processing.
As WebAssist chortles: “Why hassle with eBay’s old school copy-and-paste page creation method? Send your carefully crafted storefront to eBay’s server with a single click. Need to make a change? Click again to open for further editing.”
WA eBay StoreBuilder costs $199. A one-month free trial is also available.
