Who’s being protected – WLAN consumers or vendors?
Datacomm Research President Ira Brodsky says the Wi-Fi Alliance’s recent warning to wireless LAN vendors isn’t what you might think. The alliance recently told vendors to refrain from claiming their products conform to a standard that doesn’t exist yet. Brodsky says this move is really just a tool for established WLAN vendors to retain their hold on the market.
