Gartner: $50 billion in IT services to go offshore by 2007
Gartner made a couple of predictions this week that may sting a little. First, the research firm said that tens of billions of dollars in IT services will be going offshore in the next few years. Then it said that half of all IT operations jobs in the U.S. will just go away.

IBM Wednesday said that it has sewn up outsourcing deals with two Danish companies valued at more than $1 billion over 10 years, reinforcing its strength in Europe.
