Oracle says PeopleSoft merger ready to roll by January
It may be one of the software industry’s largest acquisitions to date, but Oracle expects to work out its merger plans with PeopleSoft by year-end and will “hit the ground running in January,” according to Oracle President Charles Phillips.

ICANN enters negotiations on .mobi, .jobs domains
Two new top-level domain names moved closer to approval this week, as the body charged with overseeing the Internet’s technical matters moved into negotiations with the companies applying to set up and run the “.mobi” and “.jobs” domains.
