Day 25
Got a call from Lance Boeker of TekSystems. He wanted to talk to me about a position that he had just received. Once he had told me the company name, I told him that another recruiter was already pitching me to that account. He told me that on the pharmaceutical position, he was waiting to hear back on my reference checks.
Got another call from Kevin Matheson at Technisource. He questioned a couple of things on my resume to make sure they were bringing up the right points with the customer he talked to me about yesterday. He said that that hadnt heard anything further from the other account that had specifically asked about me last week.
Made the travel arrangements yesterday for Interop in Las Vegas next month. Will spend that time talking to companies at the show to see who might have positions available. Sometimes there are positions that don’t get publicly posted. Since it has been a while since I was at Interop, I also want to see the latest technologies so I can prepare for what I may be working with at my next job.
Applied for 2 positions on Craiglist.
Got a late night call and email from Bryan Ballard of Netsolus, another recruiting firm in the Kansas City area. He wanted to talk to me about a position I had applied to from a posting on Craigslist. Emailed him back as to my availability tomorrow. Waiting to hear back from him.
