SolarWinds releases Cisco NetFlow analyzer for free

Writing in her Network/Systems Managment newsletter, Denise Dubie is highlighting a free tool from

SolarWinds that enables network managers to analyze Cisco’s NetFlow data, for free. “The vendor’s Real-time NetFlow Analyzer will help network managers more quickly determine why the network is slow. The software continuously captures and analyzes network traffic data to help network managers pinpoint the source of congestion issues,” Denise writes. SolarWindws says the tool helps NetFlow newbies to quickly ramp up their knowledge.

A reader signing himself as David Rosicke, network engineer at Hartford Hospital has responded to Denise’s story by saying there is a free version of a Scrutinizer, a similar tool from Plixer, which analyzes NetFlow and sFlow.
