The Most Important Thing is to ALWAYS use great headlines and first paragraphs. This will make people click, will make the editors at Google News and other aggregation sites link to your blog draws in tons of readers!!
A good headline is one that states an opinion, uses a strong verb, has the keyword first (if possible) and shows some wit.

Tell as many people about your blog as you can …
*Put the blog in your e-mail signature. Add links to it from your personal Web sites and/or social networking sites.
*Whatever forums you engage in online, mention specific blog posts and point people back to your blog.
*Blog on what others write, link back to them, drop a note with your URL (this is called a trackback).
*Write comments on Network World articles and link back to your blog. (These will show up in a general list on your blog, help us jump start discussions which will alert more readers of your blog.)
* Interview prominent people in your field of expertise for your blog — and link to them. This puts it on the radar in the wider community.
* Regularly submit your blog to Fark, Stumbleupon, Digg and other social networks.
*Make your posts a mix of informational stuff (about the technology) and comments on newsworthy items. If you can be quick to coment on a news item, you have a good shot of being picked up by Google news.
Tag you blog with TONS of keywords
* Keywords are the terms that people use when searching. Each of your blogs should have between five and ten keyword tags. Network World uses a system that suggests keywords. Use these suggested keywords (as this will add them to a page that references all blogs/comments with that keyword). Also use phrases that are not suggested but that you feel people will use with search engines.
