Cisco Subnet blogger Michael Morris writes: “The rumor was true!” Cisco is soliciting beta candidates for the soon-to-be-launched Cisco CCIE Wireless written exam, according to a blog posting on Cisco’s Learning Network site. According to the blog post: “The CCIE Wireless certification, to be launched later this year, will validate that a professional has the expertise to design, manage, and support mission- and business-critical wireless networks, as well as the job skills and technical knowledge required of an expert-level network IT practitioner.”
Back in July, Michael wrote: “I was glad to see Cisco announce the CCNA Wireless specialization. It’s definitely needed, along with a future professional level certification (CCWP maybe?). I even heard of a possible Wireless CCIE, but nothing official there. ;-)”
