Lawrence Gordon, a University of Maryland professor with the longest title in the history of education (Ernst & Young Alumni Professor of Managerial Accounting and Information Assurance in the Robert H. Smith School of Business), has ponied up $1,000 for the Gordon Prize for best English-language essay on “Managing Cybersecurity Resources.” Gordon is an expert on economic issues related to cybersecurity.

The inaugural competition is not only open to students and faculty, but to information security professionals in both the public and private sector as well. You have until Aug. 1 to submit your entry.
