Cisco says its cisco Content Delivery System will be the first of its type to natively support Adobe Flash streaming, in additiion to traditional progressive delivery. Organizations would be able to deliver Adobe Flash Player compatible video to PCs and TVs using Flash.
Cisco and Adobe will integrate Adobe Flash Media Server with Cisco Content Delivery System to support FLV file-based streaming media, reports EE Times.
According to the story:
Cisco also will follow the direction Adobe took in late August with the launch of the Moviestar Flash Player 9 software, which includes the H.264 video codec and High-Efficiency AAC audio codec.
