I’ve been in Keene NH visiting my folks. So, I figured, rather than diving into something really technical. I instead have decided to share a list of 40+ Windows tools that came across my Digg radar. The link is as follows:

What make this list really cool (besides the tools themselves) is that all of the tools on the list are open source (free). Better yet, the tools that are on this list also tend to be really useful. For example:
KeePass:KeePass is a free/open-source password manager or safe which helps you to manage your passwords in a secure way. (I use this tool a lot to store and manage passwords)
PuTTy:PuTTY is a free implementation of Telnet and SSH for Win32 and Unix platforms, along with an xterm terminal emulator. (A oldie but a goodie, its everyone’s favorite free telnet-SSH client)
Youtube CatcherYoutube Catcher can download videos from Youtube, Google Video, Myspace Video, Yahoo video Dailymotion Stage6 Veoh. (A very cool tool!)
ZScreen:ZScreen is an open-source screen capture program that allows for region/window/full-screen screenshots.
