Guy finds on his doorstep a package containing an iPhone he did not order. He contacts the company that sent it and cancels the credit card to which it was fraudulently charged. Then the story gets strange. Comments to this post on the Consumerist include an interesting if somewhat unclear discussion of what you should do when sent something you didn’t order.
I recently received a book with an invoice from Sports Illustrated. Hadn’t ordered the book, so I scribbled a note on the invoice saying so and sent it back. I’m keeping the book, even though it’s not something I want to read. Life’s too short for me to spend my time fixing the mistakes of big companies.
