Wow! After all the hype, there will be no Gphone. There will be many Google-powered phones, but no mythical iPhone killer. Google decided instead to develop an open platform based on the software of their Android acquisition.
In recent news we have Facebook’s valuation at $15 billion, Digg getting undervalued at $300 million, and Mark Zuckerberg’s asinine statement of “Media changes every 100 years” implying Facebook was that change. Google’s supposed world changing announcement doesn’t even show up on the radar. That’s sad. Something with so much potential… lost.
