McKinsey’s tech trends to watch

It’s hard to pick and choose from among the dozens of year-end tech trends to watch we come across, but this batch from the McKinsey Quarterly (you need to register, but it’s free) based on its research seemed at least to veer from the obvious:

1. Distributing cocreation

2. Using consumers as innovators

3. Tapping into a world of talent

4. Extracting more value from interactions

5. Expanding the frontiers of automation (idea being there are lots more things to automate than those currently automated)

6. Unbundling production from delivery

7. Putting more science into management (using the ‘Net. etc., to improve management strategies)

8. Making businesses from information
