The Computing Research Association this week is hailing a decision by the Commerce Department not to revise its rules limiting uses of technology subject to export restrictions by foreign nationals. The CRA and others opposed the rules on a number of fronts, including that it would wind up costing institutions a boatload of money. Here’s what the CRA says on its blog.
