Hard to believe five years have passed since that horrible day in 2001. I was in Atlanta getting ready to attend the first day of Networld+Interop, sitting in room 2834 of the Marriott. I was checking e-mail, running late actually, when the Today show mentioned news of a plane hitting the World Trade Center and then showed the second attack live. I sent this message at 9:00a EST to our company:
Subject: World trade center attack? Two planes have hit the world trade center in new york…. live reports of one accident was going on when a second jetliner hit the second building… scary stuff.
Scary stuff indeed and little did I know what was still to come.
