That’s the plea from the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA), a tech trade group, which says American jobs and the future of IT R&D projects are at stake.
“If companies cannot reliably plan their research and development on our shores, they will be forced to look elsewhere,” warned ITAA President and CEO Phil Bond, in a statement. “This is a chance for both parties to prove to the American people that they can work together to keep America competitive. The credit is critical to innovation, and innovation means jobs for America.”
The ITAA says companies were “left in a lurch” late last year when Congress let the credit lapse.
The ITAA is not alone in its efforts, as the R&D Credit Coalition is also on the case.
