Sad news from the tech journalism world

We don’t often refer to our competitors much in the tech journalism world, but I must do so now. CNET is reporting that the body of one of its editor, James Kim, has been found in the Oregon woods. Kim and his family had gone missing nearly two weeks ago while returning to San Francisco from a Thanksgiving road trip. While his wife and two young children were rescued earlier this week, James had left them to find help. Help found them, but he was not as lucky. I’ve never met James Kim, but have seen his work on the various CNET video feeds. My prayers go out to his family and CNET colleagues.
