Blogger to Diggers: You ‘terrify’ me, go away

Blogger Ryan Tomayko’s essay entitled “Parallels Makes IE Testing Suck Less, Melts Power Cord,” generated enough heat on the social-bookmarking site Digg that it was featured on that site’s front page – much to Tomayko’s chagrin.

Seems Tomayko didn’t cotton to much of the discussion his post generated among the Diggers. And while he’s certainly not the first author to believe that his opinions have been misconstrued and/or mangled, Tomayko did take a somewhat novel approach in expressing his displeasure: He blocked traffic from Digg.

Here’s what you get if you try to access Tomayko’s original post via the link on Digg:

403 Go Away!

The server understood the request, but is refusing to fulfill it because you’re coming from digg.com and the proprietor of this system is frankly terrified by you people. Authorization will not help and the request SHOULD NOT be repeated.
