Microsoft ‘Get the Facts’ called into question

“Get the Facts” or get the results that Microsoft paid for? InformationWeek reports that evidence from an Iowa antitrust case shows that Microsoft execs pondered whether to remove the company’s name from a 2002 IDC report that touted Windows TCO over Linux. This has got bloggers, including ZDNet’s Mary Jo Foley, riled that such reports, commissioned by Microsoft and conducted by industry analysts are still being touted in Microsoft’s “Get the Facts” campaign.

So how much of these facts are worth the checks they were written on?
