Microsoft tries hard to make friends with iPod

Microsoft is working hard to ensure users of Apple’s iPod don’t experience difficulty when trying to use the device with Windows Vista, reports BetaNews. Several Microsoft patches have been released for Vista to address certain problems with unplugging the iPod from Vista, and Apple addressed some of the problems with its recent iTunes 7.1 release. But the 64-bit versions of Windows XP and Vista still remain incompatible with iTunes, reports the news site.
