Cisco has disclosed that its Wireless Control System and its Wireless LAN Controller are vulnerable to attack. WCS “contains multiple vulnerabilities that can result in information disclosure, privilege escalation, and unauthorized access through fixed authentication credentials,” according to Cisco. WLC could fall prey to DoS attacks, according to a Cisco advisory. Workarounds are available for both sets of products.
