May 31 is the final day that users can use their Customer Preview Program (CCP) pre-release versions of Windows Vista (Beta 2, RC1 and RC2). From June 1 until Aug. 28, customers will be able to log in for 2-hour sessions to retrieve data, but after that period the PC will automatically reboot without providing the opportunity to save data, warns Nick White writing in the Windows Vista Team Blog.

CCP users aren’t eligible for product discounts but since they are using a pre-release version of Windows Vista Ultimate, customers can purchase the Upgrade version of Vista, explains White.
