Analysts expect good news from Cisco’s earnings report Tuesday

Cisco reports its numbers tomorrow and the financial analysts are confident the figures will be good. Motley Fool reports that not one of the 16 analysts it tracks on Motley Fools “CAPS” thinks Cisco will underperform the market. One CAPS writes: “I’m in the process of replacing all the Cisco equipment I bought in 1999-2000, and I suspect a lot of other companies are doing the same.” Meanwhile, Eric Savitz of Barron’s Online quotes a couple more analysts: Paul Mansky of Citigroup, and Bill Choi of Jeffries & Co., showing their enthusiasm for Cisco’s fiscal third quarter earnings, due Tuesday after the close.

This enthusiasm is a turnaround from the cautionary notes issued by analysts late last month, noting that Cisco was struggling to meet its enterprise and service provider sales quota.
