Greg Hoffman had good reason to be excited. His brainchild, The Security, had, by Friday, been voted one of the best tech company blogs by InsideBlogging. Security Awareness Company, started the Security Awareness Blog several months back, he asked me to blog there too. I declined because I was too busy writing courses for the blog’s affiliated Security Awareness School and starting up my Security Chief column.

Fortunately, they’ve been linking my Security Chief blogs to their site, thereby including me in this exciting development despite me.
Voting was set to end Feb. 9, at which time we all felt sure the Security Awareness blog would take top place. But, alas, that was not to be, as InsideBlogging.com curtailed voting because it ran into a software glitch. The voting software was corrupted so that sometimes a single vote would count 19 times, Hoffman says. They’re trying to find a better solution before voting starts again.
One things’s for sure, security awareness education is a big topic right now. And the Awareness Blog’s tongue-in-cheek way of presenting the information to home network users was strongly validated.
So stay tuned. I’ll let you know if InsideBlogging gets their software working again.
