Starbak is giving itself a housewarming gift for its move from Columbus, Ohio to Waltham, Mass.: It’s acquiring Sudbury, Mass.-based Vividon. Both companies make appliances for delivering streaming media but target different customers. Starbak’s appliances are used for recording and streaming videoconference calls. Vividon’s line of rack-mount servers deliver high numbers of simultaneous streams and are used by service providers and content delivery networks.
