Starbak, which recently acquired Vividon, is porting its Torrent video conferencing gateway (VCG) product to the Windows Server 2003 platform. Starbak’s Torrent VCG products are used to convert H.323 videoconferences into streaming media format. This can be useful in sharing a live conference with multiple “listen-only” participants as well for recording and archiving purposes. A Linux version of the Torrent VCG is currently available with the new Windows version due out by the end of Q2’03.
