Looking for a photo editor for your digital and scanned pics? Add the Abacre Photo Editor to your list of prospects. The $34.99 tool comes with all the standard features such color correction, cropping/resizing and format conversion. A wizard can walk the beginner through the different filtering processes. And a batch mode allows a specific tweak to be applied to a group of photos simultaneously. Abacre Photo Editor runs on most versions of Windows. For those wanting a test drive, a 30-day trial version can be downloaded (zip file).

Also, Watermark Software has a new tool out to protect your digital property: AiS Watermark Pictures Protector v3.4. As you can tell by the name, the software allows users to add watermarks to their digital items. A batch mode allows a watermark to be added to multiple photos in a couple of mouse clicks. The product runs on most versions of Windows and is priced at $29.95. A 15-day trial version can be downloaded here (EXE file).
