Final Cut Pro 4.0 ships Flag Day

Apple says customers will be able to buy the newest version of Final Cut Pro on Saturday, June 14, beginning at 4p. Version 4.0 features new RT Extreme for real-time compositing and effects and a slew of other features. Pricing is set at $999. Registered users can upgrade their current installation for $399. Final Cut Pro 4.0 will be available online, at Apple stores and through authorized resellers.
