Coming to popular Web site near you: Video ads. Geek.com is reporting that a company called Unicast is working with some of the major US advertisers to re-use television ads on the Web. Unicast delivers Windows Media-encoded ads down to the viewer in the background (pre-caching) then serves up the 30-second spots when the user visits certain sites. ESPN uses similar technology for its ESPN Motion feature, but at least that’s optional.
