VCON announced todday it will be adding H.264 support in its vPoint software-only video endpoint sometime in the second quarter of this year. The company also said H.264 will be available in all of its products, but did not specify a timetable for when that may occur. H.264 is said to allow double the video quality at the same bandwidth as its predecessor, H.263.
