VCON is getting back in the group videoconferencing game with a splash, introducing two new endpoints this week that are packed with features. VCON has spent the last year or so focusing on expanding its entire product line, so it’s group video line was in need of some updating. The result of the renewed group focus is the new members of the HD family: HD3000 and HD5000.From the news story I wrote on the announcement: The HD5000, designed for multimedia-rich conferences, is based on a Windows XP PC, runs the newer H.264 video codecs at up to 1M bit/sec and supports native 16:9 video on plasma and LCD screens.
