The much hyped debut of the iPod mini is fast approaching. Apple says the 3.6 ounce, 4GB player will be available for purchase beginning this Friday (Feb. 20) at 6 p.m. EST (and not a minute sooner!) Available in silver, gold, pink, blue or green, the iPod mini is available for PC or Mac and comes with a power adapter, earbud headphones, firewire and USB 2.0 cables, and iTunes 4.2 (for downloading the free songs you get with your Pepsi.) If you want a mini, it’s going to cost you $250. Apple says its already got 100,000 orders for the pint-size device.
