At Demo 2004, ViewCentral demonstrated its new Replay Service for managing and tracking usage of recorded Web conferences and other on-demand material, be it PDF files, streaming media or Flash presentations. The new service will allow customers to setup registration, take payment and track users that view conferences recorded using WebEx or Placeware. (More service providers will be added in future releases.) ViewCentral only collects the registration and payment data, and then links the viewer to the recorded event on a third-party site or service.ViewCentral customers can also use the Replay Service for virtually any content it wants to require registration and/or take payment for. “It could be a piece of content that is created on tool like Brainshark or it could be created in Flash,” says Rosie Hausler, vice president of marketing at ViewCentral. “Anything you want to manage and control access to.”The Replay Service will be available in March with a price of $25,000 per year.
