The Internet Streaming Media Alliance (ISMA) this week released its first Encryption and Authentication Specification, a framework for delivering streaming media securely to multiple devices. The frameworks allows for multiple codecs to be used (i.e. MPEG, H.264) and sets base level encryption at 128-bit AES. ISMA designed the specification to work from encoder to server to recipients.
